Environmental Services

Redfern Travel works with The Carbon Consultancy to support companies and individuals to reduce and manage their carbon emissions. We provide our clients with information, education, audits, reduction strategies and offset procurement in line with carbon best practice. Ensuring that our clients are able to successfully and effectively navigate the confusing landscape of carbon emissions is our priority.

Increased atmospheric carbon is a key component of climate change which affects both UK and global residents. Companies can play a pivotal role in the creation of a lower carbon world through their corporate policies, their employees and their products.

The Carbon Consultancy was founded to provide carbon measurement and reduction strategies primarily for the travel sector. They have developed considerable expertise in emissions reporting from travel, particularly around air travel and their current award winning reporting tools are the most advanced in the UK. It is these tools that Redfern Travel uses to deliver our Carbon Reports via RedfernOnlineMIS.

The Carbon Consultancy provides practical support and consultancy to a wide range of companies from the travel, financial services and service sector, using reporting to support carbon management from all major corporate emissions sources.

At a macro level there is a large amount of media coverage about climate change, but at an individual and corporate level there is less understanding about how our activity creates carbon dioxide and can be easily reduced. The temperate climate in the UK insulates us from the more dramatic realities of climate change that are experienced in many developing world countries.

Our reporting capability and carbon reduction programmes provide micro level understanding and help to stimulate debate and action to reduce our carbon emissions and to mitigate what cannot be saved.

The main aim to is to help companies to reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide and their effects, through carbon management and an understanding of how their activities can reduce their overall emissions. We pursue this aim in the following ways:

To facilitate and support carbon emissions reduction by companies and their employees.

Companies are high carbon emitters through their travel activity and power usage alone and are ideally placed to take a lead in promoting more sustainable habits.

The delivery of research and information to inform travel choice.

Travel creates high levels of carbon dioxide emissions. Research and information will enable informed travel choice and can reduce emissions.

To highlight the link between actions and emissions.

Climate change and greenhouse gases are problems that affects us all. Understanding the link between our emissions and their global impact is an important first step to modifying consumption of services that involve high emissions. Behavioural change is one of the key drivers of reduced emissions.

All consumption of goods and services generates emissions in the course of its delivery or production. Reductions in consumption of energy both directly and indirectly, reduce waste and save costs. Small changes now will help to reduce emissions and avoid larger and more expensive measures later.
