Turkey: Akyarlar Forest Fires: Initial Notification

We have received a recent report there is a forest fire in the area of Akyarlar, Bodrum Peninsula of Turkey. There are reports that the fire service is in the mountain area attempting to extinguish the fire with only local homes within close distance to the fire being evacuated.  There are currently no reports of warnings or evacuations in place for tourists or hotels.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly
